What to include
- What you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead.
- Your phone model and system version, or your browser for the web app.
- For a wrong road or speed limit: the place (a screenshot of the map is ideal) and what the sign says.
- For a question about your data: the email on your account or, without an account, the device ID from Settings → Device ID.
Quick answers
Why does Maze want my location "Always"?
Only to keep recording a ride while the screen is off or another app is open. Everything else works with "While using the app". Without "Always", a recording pauses when you leave the app.
How do I stop Maze from counting my rides in road statistics?
Turn on Ghost Rider in Settings. Your own ride recordings keep working. The privacy policy lists every switch.
How do I delete my data or my account?
Recorded rides and saved routes can be deleted in the app, and so can the account: Account → Delete account. Road-usage and steepness dots, likes, shared points and vehicles stay after that, with no email or name, because road scores are built from them. To have everything erased, write to us from the address on the account, or include your device ID (Settings → Device ID). The privacy policy says what gets deleted and when.
The speed limit on a road is wrong
Maze takes limits from OpenStreetMap, and many roads there have no limit recorded. For those, Maze shows the country's usual limit for that kind of road, marked "~". Tell us where it is wrong. Or fix it in OpenStreetMap and the next map update brings the fix to everyone. Until then, the sign on the road wins.
A road is missing, or the route uses a road that doesn't exist
Maps come from OpenStreetMap, so a road missing there is missing in Maze too. Tell us where, or add it in OpenStreetMap. Maze picks it up with the next map update.
